StreamUK introduce BAMMA to the online video market place

The multi-media streaming specialists were approached by the British Association of Mixed Martial Arts to help them accomplish their goal of marketing the contemporary sport to an ever growing online audience.

Established in 2009, BAMMA’s aim was to build the reputation of mixed martial arts as a legitimate sport in the UK, raise awareness of the sport and its potential to a UK market.  The first fight night taking place on the 21st May shall be hosted by Wembley Arena, and although being broadcast on digital television for UK audiences, it shall also be made available via internet stream for US fans as well as UK fans wanting to catch all the preliminary action.

In a bid to boost its profile in the US, and become a reputable British alternative to the well acclaimed UFC Company, StreamUK designed the BAMMA streaming site and took full responsibility for the live stream from Wembley Arena to the specially built BAMMA page. StreamUK’s newest video management platform ‘Stream MP’ was also used to manage the archive and on-demand video available for online consumers accessing BAMMA.tv.

BAMMA’s online TV archive and live streaming initiative is part of the overall target to establish the association as the legitimate promotional force behind UK mixed martial arts. The capability offered by online streaming has also enabled the company to utilise the US market and offer exciting live action from across the Atlantic.
