Queens Park Rangers Football Club (QPR) today held a press conference as a first opportunity for their new manager Ian Holloway, to speak to the media about the announcement of his second spell as Manager of the West London club.
StreamAMG work with QPR to deliver its digital platform for video on demand and live broadcasting and recently announced the creation of a brand new digital video service for 2017. For today’s press conference, using StreamAMG’s Cloud Transcoding Network the club (in a UK Football First) was able to produce a single stream output and live broadcast it simultaneously across YouTube, Periscope and Facebook to QPR’s global fan base. This ensured that fans across the world were able to watch their new manager in action, regardless of which platform or device they were using at that time. Each of the platforms used has its own requirements and specific demands, but in a first for QPR, using StreamAMG’s solution they were able to support all three networks from one source.
David Scriven, Webmaster at Queens Park Rangers spoke a few weeks ago upon announcing the new deal with StreamAMG to deliver the new and improved digital platform for video on demand and live broadcasting for the club. He highlighted how “delivering engaging and accessible multimedia content is at the forefront of QPR’s communications strategy”, and today’s press conference first is just one example of this in practice, highlighting the benefits of StreamAMG’s market leading solution and services and how they ensure the very best delivery in online supporter experience.
